Rolland Hofstedt, CPA, known to everyone as "Rolly," has been navigating the complex pathways of taxation for clients for more than three decades. As Tax Supervisor at Account Sense, Rolly uses his years of experience to review tax returns and estate and gift reporting with a fine-toothed comb. Rolly is known for his straightforward and service-oriented approach to taxation. He believes in working closely with clients to understand their financial goals and providing tailored solutions that minimize their tax burden and help them achieve their long-term objectives.

Working as his father's cashier and bookkeeper at age 14, Rolly started laying the foundation for what would blossom into a thriving accounting career. His path, however, wasn't perfectly linear. During his senior year of high school, Rolly worked as a fashion model and served as a student ambassador for Hawaii’s largest department store. This unique experience broadened his horizons and taught him valuable skills in communication and networking. After earning his BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington, Rolly began his career as an assistant controller, gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis. He then progressed through various tax roles and specializations, including a four-year stint with Intuit as part of their "Ask the Tax Expert" service and the adventure of owning his own practice for a few years before resuming work with a mid-size CPA firm in San Francisco.

Rolly holds a master’s in education from Western Oregon University and his CPA license. He actively contributes to his local community by participating in the Tri-Cities Estate Planning Council and serving as a Trustee for the Arts Center Task Force in Richland. Rolly and his lovely wife, Dianne, have four grown children between them, as well as two adorable golden retrievers, Arya & Maisy.
